Restorative therapies
Stress impacts us physically and emotionally through warning signs such as fatigue, headaches, general aches and pains, depression and digestive problems. We are more susceptible to injuries when we are suffering from too much stress. The purpose of restorative therapies is to stimulate muscles and nerves, relax us, rejuvenate us and restore balance.
The 3rd Door is offering the following restorative therapies:
thai massage
Thai massage is more vigorous and physical than other traditional forms of massage. The therapist uses her hands, knees, feet, and legs to move you in a series of stretches that can be compared to yoga without the work. Sessions are done in your own comfortable clothes on a mat on the floor. The therapist applies joint mobilization, muscle compression and acupressure during treatment. Thai massage is both relaxing and energizing. Sessions can be booked for 60 or 90 minutes.
private stretching
Stretching is an important component of everyone’s fitness program. Stretching increases your range of motion, which can reduce your risk of injury. Post-exercise stretching can also aid in workout recovery and ensure that your muscles and tendons are in good working order. The more conditioned your muscles and tendons, the better they can handle the rigors of sport, exercise and life, and the less likely that they'll become injured. Sessions can be booked for 30 or 60 minutes.
